Certification of Persons IMS

The Certification Body for the Certification of Persons IMS (STSO) is an organizational unit that is part of the IMS Institute as a legal entity. The Certification Body for the certification of persons focuses most of its scope of work on the Centre for metals and energetics, in the form of the certification of welders for:

  • Fusion welding of steel according to the IMS-01 certification scheme, which complies with the SRPS EN ISO 9606-1:2017 standard.
  • Aluminothermic welding of rails according to the IMS-02 certification scheme, which is harmonized with the SRPS EN 14730-2:2021 standard.

The management system within the Certification Body for the Certification of Persons IMS (STSO) is aligned with the requirements of the SRPS ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard – Conformity assessment – General requirements for bodies performing the certification of persons.

In order to provide timely information on the conditions for joining and implementing the certification process, the Certification Body for the Certification of Persons has made available to potential candidates the Rules for the Certification of Persons/Welders, which inform potential candidates about all the details related to the certification process itself.
The certification is performed at the location of the Service Orderer.

After the request for certification has been submitted and reviewed, candidates can download the Welder Certification Application Form, by filling in and signing it, candidates confirm that they are familiar with and agree to the certification procedure and conditions.
