ICSMGE2026

This week, Dr. Stevan Ćorluka and Marko Đurović are representing the IMS Institute at the prestigious 20th International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ICSMGE 2026) in Vienna.

As an institution with decades of experience in materials testing, geotechnics, and civil engineering, IMS continuously keeps pace with global innovations and advancements. Our participation in Vienna provides an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with leading international experts, discuss state-of-the-art laboratory testing methods, and explore the implementation of emerging trends in our future projects.

We are proud to see the name of the IMS Institute and Serbian science represented on the world’s largest geotechnical stage.

As part of the poster session at ICSMGE 2026, Dr. Stevan Ćorluka is presenting the results of his research through the paper entitled:

“Analysis of Residual Shear Strength Parameters of Fine-Grained Sediments from the ‘Drmno’ Open Pit Mine Using Different Types of Apparatus”

The paper summarizes the key findings and conclusions derived from his doctoral dissertation. The research focuses on a comprehensive analysis of residual shear strength parameters of fine-grained sediments from the Drmno open-pit mine, based on a comparative assessment of results obtained using different types of laboratory testing equipment.

Presenting research of this significance at the world’s foremost geotechnical forum further confirms the IMS Institute’s expertise and recognized position in the fields of laboratory testing and geotechnical analysis of complex geological environments.
