Environmental Noise PT Round

On May 19, 2026, the Proficiency Testing Provider Institute IMS (PIMS) successfully conducted measurements as part of another PT round for environmental noise testing (ambient/outdoor noise), in accordance with (SRPS) ISO 1996-1 and (SRPS) ISO 1996-2 standards.

Accredited testing laboratories from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Greece participated in this PT round.

The measurements were carried out outdoors at a location near Belgrade, where the laboratories, split into two groups, performed simultaneous measurements of traffic noise reproduced via loudspeakers.

With this PT round—the 29th (XXIX) for this specific scope of testing—PIMS once again confirms its competence in organizing PT schemes in compliance with the (SRPS) EN ISO/IEC 17043 standard.
